Two charged in home invasion

Two people have been charged in connection with a home invasion on Talbot Street West in Leamington on Feb. 24.

Three people forced their way into the home and assaulted two people inside it, police said. The victims received minor injuries in what investigators determined was a targeted incident, police said.

This week, OPP officers with the Essex detachment raided a property on 8th Concession Road in Maidstone and arrested two people: 31-year-old Nicholas McCullough and 46-year-old Richard Zoldi. They both face a raft of weapons-related charges, including armed robbery.

A third individual remains outstanding, police said. Both McCullough and Zoldi remained in custody until their next appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on Thursday.
