UK told to prepare for WWIII within ‘5 years,’ but one MP warns more likely ‘not more than four months’ – London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com
The head of the British Army General Sir Patrick Sanders has warned the UK and NATO might have just “5 years” to prepare for war as the world is looking at a “new axis powers.”
The head of the British Army warned that Britain is now in its most “dangerous moment” since 1945.
General Sir Patrick told the Times that China, Russia and Iran is “the new axis powers” and we are staring at the most “dangerous moment as any time that we’ve had since 1945.”
He warned that these countries are more of a threat than Adolf Hitler in 1939, he added, “They are more interdependent and more aligned than the original axis powers were.
He admitted that whilst the UK’s armed forces are strong in some areas, such as cybersecurity, he warned we are also weak in others such as “sabotage” and “terror threats.”

He said, “We defend against terror threats very effectively.
“We have a huge gap in air defences. We need to ensure that our skies are protected with greater investment and that the undersea cables that we rely on are protected from Russian sabotage.”
He continued, “Most estimates will tell you that we’ve got somewhere between five and 10 years before Russia recapitalises and is able to pose the sort of threat that it did before the Ukraine war.
“If we take the right steps now, if we address the threats and gaps we have in our capability, if we modernise our armed forces, if we make society and the UK more resilient, that’s how we prevent it.
“If we do that, it’s a low likelihood. If we don’t, it increases the probability and it encourages Russia, China and Iran.”

Last month Vladimir Putin told his foreign ministry officials, “Calls to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, which possesses the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons demonstrate the extreme recklessness of Western politicians.
“They either do not understand the scale of the threat they are creating – or are simply obsessed with their own sense of impunity and exceptionalism. Both can lead to tragedy.”
Earlier this year Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was speaking to Die Weltwoche, he was asked what is the likelihood of war.
He warned, “I believe we are not far from it. Not more than three, four months. And there is a danger to happen even before that.
“We are getting closer to a real disaster. Who is ready to lose 1 million, 2 million, 5 million, 10 million, and 15 million people?
“I’m not ready to lose a single man and won’t participate in that.”
