Football fan comes across once-in-a-lifetime find in London charity shop and sells it for huge profit

An eagle-eyed football fan stumbled across some of the greatest charity shop finds of all time during a visit to his local Oxfam store.

James Levene, a Leyton Orient supporter, spotted a number of Arsenal-related items in the window of his local Oxfam in Mill Hill, so he decided to go and investigate.

After making his way over to the men’s section, the 22-year-old noticed that two items had the initials “BS” stitched into them. It couldn’t be… could it?

A staff member soon confirmed the previous owner of each item was Bukayo Saka, whose family members and friends had visited the store to drop off some of his old personal items, including an Arsenal Tiro jacket.

“I was shocked and ecstatic when I found them,” James said. “You always hope to find these gems in charity shops but in reality, they’re so hard to come by.”

He added: “I love watching Saka as a player, and finding these let me reminisce on his penalty in the Euros and bring back the joy of that moment.”

James ended up buying an Arsenal and Duchamp suit from the 15/16 season – an extremely rare item gifted to the squad during Arsene Wenger‘s reign in charge – for just £24.99.

He also bought a black gilet [pictured below] for £19.99 and the Tiro training jacket at just £29.99.

James has since sold the jacket and gilet for a combined price of £240; a hefty profit all things considered.

He’s also listed the designer Duchamp suit for £500, almost a decade after Arsenal welcomed Duchamp London as the club’s official suit partner.

As seen in the picture above, the suit jacket is emblazoned with Arsenal’s original crest which was worn at the club’s first FA Cup final in 1927.

In fact, Theo Walcott’s jacket featured an exclusive gold thread version of the original crest to acknowledge the achievement of making more than 300 appearances for Arsenal.

The Duchamp London suit was worn by the first-team squad, manager and club executives on selected official club appearances, including home matches in the Premier League and Champions League.
