London Bay’s LPA appearance postponed for Outrigger

Public hearings on London Bay Development Group’s planned multi-high rise hotel and condo tower at the former Outrigger Resort, have been postponed.

The developers had been put on the Town of Fort Myers Beach Local Planning Agency (LPA) agenda Tuesday morning to appear at Friday’s meeting. The town released the agenda and the detailed plans of the developers Tuesday for the iconic resort. The plans call for between 10 to 17 stories of high-rises with plans for utilizing water taxis along nearby residential canals.

Town of Fort Myers Beach Clerk Amy Baker said the Naples-based developers have been removed from Friday’s agenda. The public hearings have been postponed with no date yet set to be rescheduled.

London Bay purchased the former Outrigger Resort property and Charley’s Boat House and Grill across the street for $38 million last year.
