Jets vs. Vikings announcers: Who is calling 2024 NFL London game on NFL Network? | Sporting News United Kingdom

For the first time in 2024, the NFL is taking over London.

Before the Jaguars arrive in the U.K. for back-to-back games next weekend, Sam Darnold is set to do battle against his former team when Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets take the field at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The early-morning game, at least for American fans, has more intrigue than many would’ve guessed. The Vikings are one of two undefeated teams entering Week 5, starting 4-0 behind a dominant start from Darnold as well as Brian Flores’ defense.

Here’s what you need to know about who’s calling Jets vs. Vikings on NFL Network’s broadcast from London.

Rich Eisen (play-by-play) and Kurt Warner (color analyst) will be on the call for NFL Network in London, with Stacey Dales and Jamie Erdahl serving as sideline reporters.

Not many regular season games land on NFL Network, but Eisen is the network’s go-to play-by-play option when games due to come their way. Eisen has called numerous games over the years, and he has plenty of experience with international contests. He was in the booth for two of the NFL’s three London games last season, and he also called Chiefs vs. Dolphins in Germany last November.

Warner has been with NFL Network as an analyst since 2010 and similarly has stepped in for game duties for many of the network’s live broadcasts. The Hall of Fame quarterback said in May that he doesn’t believe Aaron Rodgers is in the same conversation as the all-time greatest quarterbacks until he wins another Super Bowl, and Rodgers will have a chance to get the Jets back in that discussion in front of Warner on Sunday.

Erdahl is part of NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” panel, while Dales is a former WNBA player who joined NFL Network as a reporter in 2009.

Why is Jets vs. Vikings on NFL Network?

The NFL broadcast schedule is pretty well structured, from “Thursday Night Football” games on Amazon Prime and Sunday afternoon games on CBS and Fox to “Sunday Night Football” on NBC and “Monday Night Football” on NBC.

Occasionally, though, some games slip into different windows. NFL Network is often the beneficiary of that.

NFL Network broadcasts most international games that aren’t exclusively available on streaming services, and the network typically picks up late-season Saturday games when the college football schedule dies down.

Jets vs. Vikings is one of four international game NFL Network will broadcast this season. The Week 1 game between the Packers and Eagles in Brazil was broadcast exclusively on Peacock, but NFL Network is set to host all three London games and the NFL’s Germany matchup between the Giants and Panthers.

Broadcast teams for the remaining three games haven’t yet been announced, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Eisen in the booth for some of them.
