LBS’s Lynda Gratton joins Thinkers50 Hall of Fame | London Business School
Lynda Gratton, Professor of Management Practice in Organisational Behaviour at London Business School (LBS), has been inducted into the 2024 Thinkers50 Hall of Fame for the profound and lasting influence that her work has had on the world of management.
She joins five other distinguished management thinkers in this year’s list of inductees: Teresa M. Abile, Anil K. Gupta and Haiyan Wang; Lars Kolind; and Shibusawa Eiichi.
Professor Gratton, who directs the world’s leading human resources programme – HR Strategy in Transforming Organisations, regularly features in Thinkers50’s annual list of ranked thinkers, last appearing in 2023. She is the author of numerous works that examine the relationship between people and organisations, including The Shift, The 100-Year Life, The New Long Life and Redesigning Work.
She regularly contributes to influential thought-leadership forums, such as the World Economic Forum and DAVOS, and shares her management expertise with global audiences through award-winning articles, such as those for Harvard Business Review on redesigning work and the changing role of managers. She also writes regular columns for MIT Sloan Management Review and the Times.
In her most recent Times column, she writes about how to support young workers to build independent careers. Her advice: counsel them to find something they really love; encourage them to explore what they enjoy; and help them to think about how to achieve mastery and build their reputation.
