Dalata continues expansion with second Maldron hotel in London

Ireland-based Dalata Hotel Group has opened its latest Maldron Hotel in London as part of a major expansion in the UK.

The four-star Maldron Hotel Shoreditch, which has 157 rooms, becomes the brand’s second property in London after opening Maldron Hotel Finsbury Park in 2023. Dalata also runs three other hotels in the UK capital under the Clayton Hotels banner.

Dalata now has 23 hotels operating in the UK across its brands, with Maldron properties also opening in Manchester, Liverpool and Brighton in recent months. Further hotels are planned to open in Dublin and Edinburgh in 2026.

Dermot Crowley, CEO of Dalata Hotel Group, said: “Shoreditch is a prime location for both business and leisure travellers and has been a key target location for us since moving into London.

“Our expansion in the city is on track with our strategy and London will remain a key location for us, given the significant opportunities the market presents.”

Maldron Hotel Shoreditch includes self-service check-in pods, as well as a restaurant and bar, plus a fitness suite.
