English Football heavyweights to speak at OffshoreAlert London Conference – OffshoreAlert

At a time when the regulation of English football is under intense scrutiny, English Football League Chair Rick Parry and sports law barrister Nick De Marco KC, who successfully defended Leicester City against financing rules allegations, will speak at OffshoreAlert’s London conference on December 2-3.

Along with regulatory expert Helen Hatton and New York Times sports reporter Tariq Panja, they will present a session entitled ‘Regulating English Football: Football Governance Bill, Financial Fair Play & Anti-Corruption Measures’.

This session will look at proposed and existing laws and rules to keep English football clean and competitive, including FFP and U.K. Government plans to appoint an ‘Independent Football Regulator’ to regulate English men’s elite football, including the Premier League, which is the world’s third-highest grossing sports league by revenue.
