The Patriots opened the season with a stunning 16-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, but since lost five straight while committing to the future with first-round rookie Drake Maye taking the reins at quarterback. Maye debuted in last week’s 41-21 loss to the Houston Texans and delivered an up-and-down day, completing 20-of-33 passes for 243 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Maye will get career start No. 2 against a Jacksonville side that took a small step forward with a 37-34 win over the Indianapolis Colts, then two steps back with a 35-16 loss to the Chicago Bears last week in London.
