Drake London, Amon-Ra St. Brown headstand TD celebrations, explained: NFL WRs mimic Incarnate Word’s Jalen Walthall | Sporting News United Kingdom
Drake London and Amon-Ra St. Brown are no strangers to the end zone, and after scoring in Week 9, they both trotted eerily similar celebrations.
After London reeled in a short TD pass from Kirk Cousins vs. Dallas, he did a headstand, complete with his arms tight against his body when he was completely upside down, followed by a somersault.
Later in the day, Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Lions took on the Packers. He caught a three-yard pass against the edge of the end zone in the second quarter. St Brown quickly ran to the end zone and did a handstand, putting his arms against his body when he was completely upside down before rolling through.
One wide receiver doing a touchdown celebration may not mean much. Two doing it on completely different teams means there is some sort of relevance or connection. Here’s what they were paying tribute to.

Drake London, Amon-Ra St. Brown headstand TD celebrations, explained
On Saturday ahead of NFL Week 9, Incarnate Word WR Jalen Walthall scored a touchdown before doing a headstand and rolling into a somersault. He got flagged, but it was well worth it because the celebration went viral.

Clearly, some NFL wide receivers took notice because Drake London and Amon-Ra St. Brown copied the celebration the next day.
Who is Jalen Walthall?
Walthall is a junior in college playing for the Incarnate Ward Cardinals. He started his collegiate career at Hawaii. Walthall has played in 25 games so far in his career, 16 at Hawaii and nine so far for the FCS Cardinals.
Walthall has 91 career receptions for 1,289 yards and 14 touchdowns, but none will likely be as remembered as last Saturday’s, especially since it was replicated by London and St. Brown.

This isn’t the first time that St. Brown has turned to the internet for inspiration for a touchdown celebration. Earlier this year, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat gave Colorado wide receiver Travis Hunter. a dance to do the next time he scored a touchdown. Hunter scored a touchdown and did the dance, followed by St. Brown doing the same the following day.
