Severe rush hour delays on major London Underground line

Severe delays are expected on the Elizabeth line this morning as services between Abbey Wood and Heathrow Terminal 4 undergo engineering works.

London Paddington and Reading/Heathrow Terminals have reopened following similar engineering works over the weekend, although rail providers have warned that trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 50 minutes or revised.

This disruption is expected to continue until around 10am.

Elsewhere, National Rail have warned various routes across England, Wales and Scotland could be affected by snowy weather after the Met Office issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice over the coming days.

Heavy rain is also expected over parts of Wales and the South West of England on Monday, which may also affect rail lines.

Minor delays on several London Underground lines

Elsewhere in London, delays have been reported on the Northern Line at Kentish Town due to engineering works. The underground station at Collindale is also closed and trains are not stopping there.

There are minor delays on the Victoria and Jubilee lines due to a shortage of trains.

Central line is also experiencing minor delays due to problems with the signals Liverpool Street
