More than 36,000 Blue Badges have been stolen in London between January 2015 and November 2024, police data shows.
Haringey was the worst borough for the crime, with more than 6,000 badges stolen during that time period.

London Councils calculated the cost of losing one of the permits to a disabled person is at least £6,000 in increased parking charges, plus the impact of reporting and replacing it, The Standard reports.
