Irish travel influencer compares Mumbai locals to London’s Tube in viral video
An Irish travel influencer who has been living in India for a while now took a ride on Mumbai’s local train and documented his experience in a video that has since gone viral.
Sean Hammond shared the video on Instagram, showing his candid observations and comparisons with London’s Tube, which amazed social media users.
The Instagram video begins with Hammond standing outside a local train station, preparing for what he expected to be a chaotic adventure. “So, I am about to take the train in Mumbai City, which is famously chaotic. Let’s see how it goes,” he said.
Hammond purchased a Rs 5 ticket to Bandra East and boarded the train. Initially, he observed, “It’s not actually that busy,” but soon experienced the rush-hour frenzy as commuters surged in and out of the moving train.
Despite the chaos, Hammond shared his perspective: “I’ve heard so many crazy things about this train service, but it was way more relaxed than I thought. Honestly, it’s just like getting the Tube in London.”
He highlighted features like ceiling fans inside the train, which he found impressive for keeping passengers cool. “It only costs Rs 5 for a 20-minute journey. All in all, you really can’t complain,” he said in the caption of his post.
