Reform UK ‘has just overtaken the oldest political party in the world’ – London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com
Reform UK has surpassed the Conservative membership on Boxing Day which Nigel Farage has described as a “historic moment.”
Just before Farage returned as the leader of the Reform UK Party in June 2024, they has only 40,000 members and the Tories had 131,680 members in November this year.
Reform UK membership has soared to 132,353 on Thursday [as of 12:24] and Farage said that his party is “now the real opposition.”
Farage said, “This is a big, historic moment. The youngest political party in British politics has just overtaken the oldest political party in the world. Reform UK are now the real opposition.”

On Christmas day, the Reform UK leader has compared Keir Starmer to the former Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe as a council has told the Prime Minister to postpone the local election, which is what the African tyrant used to do, before he was ousted in 2017.
Farage has said this is “outrageous” as the Labour “despot” is like the Zimbabwean dictator.

Zia Yusuf the Reform UK chairman said, “So all but confirmed: Labour and the Tories have colluded to undermine democracy and cancel local elections.
“The establishment is terrified of Reform. All they do is delay the inevitable. The turquoise tidal wave will only grow larger.”
A Conservative Party spokesman said, “Reform has delivered a Labour Government that has cruelly cut winter fuel winter payments for 10 million pensioners, put the future of family farming and food security at risk, and launched a devastating raid on jobs which will leave working people paying the price.
“A vote for Reform this coming May is a vote for a Labour council – only the Conservatives can stop this.”
