Aaron Jones injury update: Latest news on Vikings RB after leaving NFL London game vs. Jets with hip injury | Sporting News United Kingdom
The Vikings are going to have to operate the rest of the Week 5 NFL London game without their starting running back.
Minnesota arrived at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium riding on a high note. Kevin O’Connell’s crew are one of just two teams without a loss in 2024, and are aiming to move to 5-0 on the campaign with a Sunday morning contest against the Jets.
However, in the second quarter, Vikings running back Aaron Jones left the game with a hip injury.
Jones has been excellent so far in his first season with the purple and gold. After signing as a free agent this summer, the 29-year-old came into Week 5 with 321 rushing yards and a rushing TD on 64 carries.

The running back has dealt with his fair share of injuries in his NFL career. While he hasn’t missed any games this year, Jones hurt his hip in Week 2, but played through it in the Vikings win over the 49ers.
It’s unclear if the same hip injury is what is bothering Jones in London.
With Jones unable to return, Ty Chandler and Myles Gaskin figure to see an uptick in reps at the running back position. Chandler entered Week 5 with 117 rushing yards on 28 carries. Gaskin had one carry for -3 yards.
