Ancuta Sarca SS25 Redefines the Office Siren Trend
Romanian-born, London-based designer Ancuta Sarca has become a must-see on the London Fashion Week schedule. The NEWGEN designer has returned for another season with support from the British Fashion Council, giving her a space to shine with immersive presentations that showcase her hybrid footwear signatures.
For Spring/Summer 2025, Ancuta Sarca looks to modern-day office culture for inspiration while nodding to 1960s optimism with renewed elegance. Sarca refines the office siren trend this season, dressing models ready to hustle in relaxed looks that uphold renewed corporate rules. The presentation space was drowned in soft beige flooring, backdropped by supportive armrests, fluorescent lighting, and pulsing keyboard sounds.
Ancuta Sarca examined London’s bustling working culture for SS25, refreshing your appropriate wardrobe with low-slung tennis uniforms, ruffled hoodies, pleated shorts, buckled capris, and patent leather-trimmed workwear sets in adaptable neutral hues. As always, the designer amazed with her trademark kitten heels, presenting them in strapped leopard print and with folded collar attachments. Knee-high and calf-length boots came alive in roaring animal prints, while loafers were reimagined with contrasting mesh panels.
The Romanian designer previewed two unexpected collaborations during LFW, joining Crocs and Clarks Originals for the first time. The former’s platform slip-on arrived in glistening gradient hues, integrating metallic buckles and wildcat inserts. Finally, she redesigned the Clarks Wallabee in repurposed materials, shaping the model into flapped heels with metal clasp details.
