A bus has crashed into a theatre in London’s West End.

Pictures from the scene show damage to the side of the Palace Theatre, which is home to famous shows like Harry Potter, the Cursed Child.

It is not yet known whether the theatre has been evacuated but police confirmed no one has been injured

Other pictures show the number 19 bus to Finsbury Park smashed up at the front.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: ‘Police were called at 13:00hrs on Monday, 19 August to reports of a collision on Shaftsbury Avenue, W1.

‘Officers found a bus had mounted the curb and collided with a structure.

‘No one was injured in this incident.

‘A crime scene remains in place and enquiries into the circumstances continue.’

A number of people can also be seen outside the theatre by the wreckage and police cars.

Palace Theatre has been contacted for comment.
