This week, the actor dazzled in a plunging black power suit, which she paired with a chunky gold necklace. The ensemble undoubtedly turned heads on the red carpet, where she attended the special event for her television series “Disclaimer.” Thus, it seems like Blanchett gave the audience another style lesson — this time with a classy look that meant business but incorporated a charming detail.

Cate Blanchett might have chosen to go with minimalistic aesthetics for her ensemble at the 68th BFI London Fashion Festival, but it still gave people a lot to talk about. On Thursday, the actor made a fashion statement with her black suit, posing elegantly for photos on the red carpet. WWD reported that Blanchett opted for a two-piece black suit from Stella McCartney‘s Spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection. 

The “Disclaimer” actor went braless with the suit featuring a V plunging neckline that buttoned at the waist. Furthermore, she wore relaxed high-waisted trousers, accompanied by pointy black leather shoes. Blanchett exuded both style and comfort with her choice of outfit. However, the suit wasn’t the only attractive element in the ensemble. While she didn’t wear many accessories, her dove-shaped gold pendant stole the spotlight, giving a fresh take on power suiting.

One can always depend on Blanchett to make head-turning fashion choices. Last month at the “Rumors” premiere at the 62nd New York Film Festival (NYFF), she wore a top made out of blonde hair wefts. If this wasn’t enough, she turned to spoons as part of her outfit at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). It is safe to say that the actor is in her experimental era, making daring ensemble choices.

Meanwhile, Cate Blanchett stars as journalist Catherine Ravenscroft in the newly-released series “Disclaimer,” which also stars Kevin Kline and Sacha Baron Cohen. Alfonso Cuarón serves as the writer and director. The series is available to watch on Apple TV+.
