Chopova Lowena Opens a Gothic Dollhouse for SS25

Emma Chopova and Laura Lowena-Irons’s Chopova Lowena grows older and wiser every season. The British duo have dominated London Fashion Week for several years, returning to debut their Spring/Summer 2025 collection while expanding their gothic vision inside a darkened house in the heart of London.

A disheveled building housed Chopova Lowena’s SS25 range, opening the doors to a gothic dollhouse with peeling backdrops. Black and white hues jumped from look to look with flamboyant ruffles à la Chopova Lowena. Dubbed “Chuckaboo,” Chopova Lowena payed tribute to friendship with coordinating looks in opposite hues.

The first two looks swapped shades step by step with disarranged and voluminous paneling adorned with metallic butterfly pins. Next, sheer bodysuits packed with sensuality gave a peek at the skin beneath with enlarged shoulder pads, while sinister cowboys came alive with embellished uniforms destined for the fashion rodeo. Disconnected babydoll dresses with tulle skirt attachments were followed by “CHECK OUT MY CHANGE” tops tumbled in metal coins headed to the bank. Youthful embellishments were pinned to sizable skirts, featuring three-dimensional horses, rabbits, and foxes contrasted by hanging ancient keys on studded aprons.

The accessories shined bright at Chopova Lowena SS25, seeing models walk the runway in floral-embellished kicks adorned with metal spheres and slashed insect wings with a haunting aura. The brand’s signature leather bags carried bottles of Hellmann’s mayonnaise, hinting at a possible condiment collaboration in the works.
