Comedian Katherine Ryan to close out WTM London with fireside chat

Ryan, known for her turns on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Taskmaster and Have I Got News For You, teamed up with fellow comic Joe Wilkinson earlier this year for Channel 4 series Joe and Katherine’s Bargain Holidays, which saw the pair journey to Latvia, Montenegro and Wales, among others.

She also joined comedian and broadcaster Richard Ayoade for a 48-hour journey to New York in an episode of Travel Man.

’Truly international perspective’

Juliette Losardo, WTM London exhibition director, said: “She promises to be hugely entertaining but also very thoughtful, with insights into the challenges and triumphs of women in the workplace – and practical advice for travel professionals on breaking through perceived barriers.

“Katherine will bring a truly international perspective to the stage with her understanding of different cultures, thanks to her background and experiences. I’m looking forward to hearing about her views on budget tourism compared to her passion for a more luxurious travelling experience.”
