‘DO NOT travel’ warning as flooding hits major London station causing severe delays

All lines between Blackfriars and London St Pancras have been blocked since 7.30am today (November 27).

Trains running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

National Rail has advised all commuters to “not to travel” until later this morning as there will be heavy disruptions.

It added: “We advise you delay travelling until later this morning.

“There will be heavy disruption for trains in and out of central London, and your journey could take up to an hour longer than usual.”

Disruption to the services is expected to continue until 10am.

Elsewhere in London, commuters on the Elizabeth line are facing severe delays as services have been suspended due to a signal failure.

The Circle and Hammersmith and City lines have been hit by long delays due to power supply problems.

There are also severe delays between High Street Kensington and Edgware Road due to a fire alert. 

There are minor delays on the Metropolitan Line between Moor Park and Amersham due to train cancellations.
