Drake Maye shows out in London, and other Patriots-Jaguars prop bets
The New England Patriots have traveled across the pond to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their third game at Wembley Stadium. The previous two were wins, with the Pats taking down Tampa Bay in 2009 and St. Louis in 2012. Drake Maye will get the chance to make it three wins at the venue in his second career starts as the Patriots enter the contest as 5.5-point underdogs.according to FanDuel Sportsbook
Here are some prop bets that may pique your interest for Sunday morning.
Drake Maye, Over 201.5 Passing Yards (-113): Jacksonville’s defense has allowed at least 220 passing yards to every quarterback not named Deshaun Watson. They rank dead last in passing yards allowed this season. Behind a makeshift offensive line and against a top five passing defense, Maye still passed for 265 yards last week. I like him to beat this over comfortably.
Drake Maye, Over 27.5 Rushing Yards (-113): The Jaguars play man coverage more than just about anyone else, and that got them into trouble against mobile quarterbacks like Josh Allen and Caleb Williams. Both rushed for over 40 yards in their matchups which makes this an appealing line for Maye. The rookie rushed for 38 yards last week against the Texans.
Brian Thomas Jr., Under 54.5 Receiving Yards (-113): I expect Jacksonville’s top wideout to see plenty of Christian Gonzales this week. Look for the second-year corner to have a bounce back performance this week against the rookie wide receiver after struggling at times against Stefon Diggs last week. This matchup is a lot more favorable for him.
Longshot of the Week: Bourne Again
Each week, I’ll pick a bet or two with long odds that I like in this section.
Kendrick Bourne, Anytime TD (+550): Kendrick Bourne has been ramping up in his return from a torn ACL, playing 27 percent of offensive snaps two weeks ago and 52 percent last week. That sets him up for a bigger role this week, and the veteran should be a prime target for Drake Maye.
