The Merseyside derby may have been postponed but it’s a bumper weekend of football nonetheless with some huge matches taking place in both Europa and North America.

16:55 CET – Despite briefly thinking they had snatched a dramatic late winner, Arsenal’s hearts were broken by VAR after Gabriel Martinelli was caught offside before teeing up Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal therefore have to settle for a point against a strong Fulham side and it is more dropped points for Mikel Arteta in a title pursuit that is seemingly getting away from Arsenal.
Elsewhere, Ruud van Nistelrooy remains unbeaten as Leicester City manager after his side came from 2-0 down against Brighton to produce a stunning late comeback and draw 2-2.
Finally from the Premier League, Bournemouth also produced a dramatic late comeback to come from behind to beat Ipswich Town who walk away with nothing. A bad day for Kieran Mckenna’s side in the relegation battle despite it looking so promising at half-time.

After an inconsistent run, Spurs find themselves in 11th place and manager Ange Postecoglou is under immense pressure from the supporters. As for Chelsea, a win this evening will see them further cement their top-four credentials.

22:41 CET – Claudio Ranieiri’s Roma put in an emphatic performance to thump relegation-battling Lecce 4-1 and get back to winning ways after six matches without a win.
20:27 CET – It has been a tough start to life for Ruben Amorim at Manchester United, and it has got even tougher, with the Red Devils falling to a dismal 3-2 loss at home to Nottingham Forest. A poor defensive performance from the home side contributed to a deserving win for Forest.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund have continued their rocky away form with a 1-1 draw at Borussia Monchengladbach.
