Scheduled to be held from November 5 to 7, the three-day event will have industry leaders from around the globe, which is expected to provide Goa with a platform to showcase its unique tourism experiences and innovative sustainable travel initiatives, a spokesperson from the tourism department told PTI.

“The Goa tourism pavilion will offer a vibrant presentation of the state’s lively festivals, adventure activities, heritage traditions, and serene beaches, which together define its unique identity as a travel destination,” the spokesperson added.

State Tourism Director Suneel Anchipaka noted that this year’s participation will prominently feature the concept of regenerative tourism, which goes beyond sustainability by focusing on actively revitalising and enhancing Goa’s natural and cultural assets. He explained, “The display will include initiatives such as hinterland tourism, the preservation of heritage sites, wellness tourism centred around Ayurveda, and Goa’s growing reputation as a venue for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and wedding events.

These initiatives are designed to benefit local communities while ensuring the environment is safeguarded for future generations. Anchipaka also mentioned that the pavilion will highlight the Ekadasha Teertha Circuit, a spiritual journey through 11 historic temples in Goa. “The exposition of St Francis Xavier will also be a key feature, running from November 21 to January 5, 2025, at Old Goa,” he added.
