Screams could be heard echoing around Brent Cross Mall as a group of hooded figures were seen sprinting into an Apple Store, causing chaos and panic among Sunday shoppers
Horrifying footage shows a gang of hooded figures storming past security in Brent Cross, London.
Filmed today (January 5), the clip begins displaying a relatively normal view of the Apple Store in Brent Cross Mall. Suddenly, a gang of around 10 hooded figures appear, dashing towards the shop past a solitary security guard who can only watch as they enter the store. Within moments screams can be heard from all around as customers frantically try to exit the establishment.
Seconds later, members of the gang sprint back out of the shop one by one, again past the security guard. Some of the group can be seen clutching devices while they make their getaway, but other members who left empty handed might have just wanted to get a few steps, causing a bit of panic along the way.
The video – dated on X as 2.38pm, January 5 – is captioned: “Filmed just now in Brent Cross – London.”
Below the X post, many chimed in to give their take on the “absolute rats” who appeared to have attempted to steal the Apple goods.
One person mocked the would-be-thieves, highlighting the fact that their crime might possibly have been in vain: “It’s a little funny that to this day people don’t know that if you steal something from an Apple store that phone will be disabled and you can never use it, you can sell it for very little money for parts that may or may not work.”
Another person agreed the crooks had, in a way, dug their own grave: “Lol think they got new iPhone… Apple will shut these down! And also be tracked good luck with that.”
