Jaguars win in London, Falcons fall at home, NFL Week 7 roundup

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – It’s Week 7 in the NFL, and now is the time when the contenders start to distinguish themselves from the pretenders. Of all 32 teams in the league, only 5 have had as good of a last three weeks as the Falcons, who entered Sunday’s game on a three-game win streak.

On the other side of that spectrum, Atlanta’s opponent, the Seattle Seahawks, came in on a three-game losing streak. But they didn’t play like it. Meanwhile, the Falcons struggled in all three phases of the game.

The Seattle defense took over, forcing turnovers on three consecutive Atlanta possessions in the fourth quarter. Atlanta falls 34-14 and will be looking to move on quickly from this one as they get ready for a date with the NFC South rival Bucs next week.

“There’s a phrase they use in the league that you can’t let your previous opponent beat you twice, and I think that’s kind of what he’s trying to say, is that at some point you do turn the page and you move forward“ said Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins. ”Many times, a performance that you don’t like can galvanize you and sharpen your edge a little bit, and that’s certainly what you want a performance like this to do.”

Patriots vs. Jaguars (London)

The Jaguars were back in London for the second-straight Sunday, looking for redemption following last week’s loss. After getting in an early 10-0 hole, Jacksonville showed some fight, posting 22 points in the second quarter.

Tank Bigsby rushed for two touchdowns, and Parker Washington returned a punt for 96 yards — the longest punt return in franchise history.

The Jaguars get their second win of the year, 32-16.
