Jets vs. Vikings live score, updates, highlights from 2024 NFL London game | Sporting News
As Sam Darnold prepares to take on the team that drafted him, few expected his Vikings to enter as the favorite for Minnesota’s game against the New York Jets across the pond in London.
Darnold, who wasn’t even guaranteed Minnesota’s starting job until rookie J.J. McCarthy went down with a meniscus tear in August, has led the Vikings to a shocking 4-0 start and led the NFL in touchdown passes through four weeks. His renaissance is one of the best stories of the young season, and a win over the Jets after a choppy three-year tenure in New York would make his run even more special.
The Jets have to reacquaint themselves with the underdog role after going 2-2 to start the season. That opening stretch ended on a sour note with a sloppy home loss to Denver, forcing New York to look inward ahead of a matchup with one of the NFL’s most efficient teams through the first month of the season.
All eyes will be on the Jets’ offense against Brian Flores’ impressive Vikings defense. Can Rodgers right the ship against a former NFC North rival, or are the Vikings headed for a 5-0 start no one saw coming?

Jets vs. Vikings live updates, results, highlights from NFL London game
(All times Eastern)
11:50 a.m. — Two more first downs have the Jets in the red zone. Braelon Allen is starting to build momentum after a slow start, picking up 22 total yards on back-to-back plays.
11:47 a.m. — The Jets are moving the ball a bit now, with Rodgers finding Wilson for a first down to take New York to midfield. Any points would be positive for the Jets here.
11:44 a.m. — Well, a penalty on the punt gives the Jets a fresh set of downs. And now who’s coming back onto the field? It’s Rodgers, who was just down on the field writhing in pain mere minutes ago.
11:43 a.m. — Rodgers walks off under his own power, and the Jets will punt this away as the injuries pile up.
11:41 a.m. — Aaron Rodgers is down and appears to be in significant pain with a leg injury. He got twisted up underneath defenders.
11:35 a.m. — Minnesota’s punt is saved from going into the end zone, and the Jets will be forced to start from their own 2-yard line. New York badly needs points.
11:34 a.m. — Darnold is sacked for the fourth time, and the Vikings will punt.
11:30 a.m. — Jordan Addison finally gets involved with back-to-back catches, including a 27-yard grab from Darnold as the Vikings get going. Sauce Gardner is down after getting hit by teammate Quincy Williams.
11:26 a.m. — The Jets play it pretty conservatively on 3rd & 12, throwing behind the sticks, and it predictably doesn’t turn into anything. Minnesota’s offense will get another chance.
11:21 a.m. — The Jets force a quick three-and-out to start the second half. Darnold has really struggled since starting 4-of-5 passing. He’s now 7-of-15.
End of first half: Vikings 17, Jets 7
11:03 a.m. — The Vikings try to go aggressive, but Darnold gets destroyed by Micheal Clemons on second down and they will take their 17-7 lead to halftime.

10:59 a.m. TOUCHDOWN — Rodgers finds Lazard in the end zone on third down! What a moment for the Jets’ offense, which has shown next to nothing today but has itself a touchdown. It’s 17-7 Vikings with 36 seconds until halftime.

10:58 a.m. — A deflected pass nearly ends up as another Vikings interception, but the Jets survive.
10:57 a.m. — An impressive return sets up the Jets in field goal range already. There won’t be an excuse not to get points here.

10:54 a.m. — The Jets get a quick stop deep in Vikings territory, so they will have about 90 seconds and solid field position if they want to try and strike before halftime.
10:50 a.m. — Aaron Jones has been out of the game for some time now with a hip injury. With the Vikings up 17-0, they may play it cautious with him.
10:47 a.m. — Rodgers gets absolutely drilled by Harrison Smith on 3rd & 6. No one was blocking Smith, and Rodgers never saw him coming. The Jets will punt again.

10:39 a.m. — Another defensive penalty gives the Vikings a fresh set of downs at the 2-yard line.
10:38 a.m. — Sauce Gardner drops what would’ve been a huge interception in the end zone.
10:35 a.m. — D.J. Reed swats away a pass to Jefferson, but he’s called for pass interference for an interaction a few seconds before and gives the Vikings a first down in the red zone.
10:32 a.m. — An illegal shift erases a big run by Ty Chandler. That would’ve put the Vikings in the red zone.
10:31 a.m. — Darnold hits Jefferson for 27 yards to quickly push the Vikings into Jets territory. Jefferson has 61 yards on four catches.
10:27 a.m. — The Jets turn it over on downs after two runs for a combined one yard by Braelon Allen. New York’s running game is totally ineffective for the second consecutive week.
10:25 a.m. — The Jets finally pick up a first down on a nice pass up the middle to Tyler Conklin. New York is in Vikings territory and fringe field goal range.
10:20 a.m. — Kevin O’Connell keeps the Vikings’ offense on the field on 4th & 2, but Darnold’s throw downfield never had much of a chance. Rodgers and the Jets’ offense will get the ball back in hopes of finding some life.
10:17 a.m. — The Jets forced the Vikings to third-and-long, but an illegal contact penalty against Sauce Gardner gives Minnesota a fresh set of downs. A costly call.
End of first quarter: Vikings 10, Jets 0
10:10 a.m. INTERCEPTION — Rodgers is intercepted AGAIN. This time it’s Camryn Bynum. That’s two interceptions and zero first downs. It’s panic time for the Jets’ offense.

10:04 a.m. PICK-SIX — Andrew Van Ginkel intercepts Rodgers and takes it all the way back for six! That’s a 63-yard pick-six for Van Ginkel, and the Vikings have a 10-0 lead. New York’s offense is a total mess today.

10:02 a.m. — Lazard with a bad drop on 2nd & 6. The Jets’ offense has yet to record a first down.
10:00 a.m. FUMBLE — Darnold steps back in…and loses the ball on a pitch to Ty Chandler gone wrong. Quinnen Williams nearly had a path to take it the distance but gets tripped up. That’s a massive play for the Jets’ defense.

9:59 a.m. — Mullens steps in and finds Aaron Jones for 24 yards on 3rd & 4, because why not.
9:58 a.m. — Darnold walks off, but Nick Mullens has to come in for at least one play.
9:55 a.m. — Darnold takes a big hit on an incompletion and is still keeled over on the field. Appeared to be a shot to the ribs.
9:52 a.m. — Jets DB Michael Carter II is doubtful to return with a hamstring injury.
9:50 a.m. — The punt (return) nearly goes awry for the Vikings as the ball is picked up by the Jets, but officials rule the ball touched a Jet first and therefore can’t be recovered by New York.
9:49 a.m. — Rodgers and Garrett Wilson still can’t get on the same page. Rodgers had Wilson on 3rd & 6, but something just wasn’t right about that play and it falls incomplete. The Jets will punt.
Vikings 3, Jets 0
9:43 a.m. FIELD GOAL — Minnesota is fortunate to salvage three points as Reichard’s big leg drills it from 54 yards. Vikings lead 3-0.
9:42 a.m. — Darnold is sacked for a huge loss by Will McDonald IV on 3rd & 1. That’s 12 yards, and it’s going to make Will Reichard’s field goal much longer than it had to be.

9:41 a.m. — Jefferson just barely gets the first down on 3rd & 6. Meanwhile, the Vikings’ running game already has 21 yards on just three carries as they near the red zone.
9:39 a.m. — There’s a big play for Jefferson, who goes 26 yards to bring Minnesota past midfield. Kevin O’Connell is one of the best in the league at scripting opening drives, and it’s working so far.

9:38 a.m. — The Jefferson play is ruled an incompletion, not a fumble, but it doesn’t matter. Darnold finds Johnny Mundt for a first down on second-and-short.
9:37 a.m. — Justin Jefferson fumbles out of bounds on the first play of the game. No harm, no foul for the Vikings.
9:33 a.m. — Rodgers finds Garrett Wilson on 3rd & 9, but Wilson comes up just short and the Jets will punt. They’re not taking any chances.
9:31 a.m. — Jared Allen leads Vikings fans in the “SKOL” chant. The Jets will start with the ball.
9:26 a.m. — The Jets and Vikings are getting set to kick off after the playing of the national anthems.
9:10 a.m. — The Jets might spend the next week trying to land Davante Adams, as reports indicate a deal could come together quickly despite the trade deadline still being four weeks away.
8:50 a.m. — Many will be watching the sideline to see if there’s any smoke to the speculation that Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh aren’t on the same page. The pair publicly disagreed last week about how to address mounting false start penalties but said later in the week that there was no issue at all between each other.
8:25 a.m. — No notable inactives for the Vikings as they try to stay unbeaten.
