Lexington Catering secures contract extension with London Business School – FM Industry

Lexington Catering has retained its contract with London Business School (LBS) following a competitive tender process.

The contract, which has been in place since 2009, will be extended for a further five years from 1st January 2025.

Our partnership with Lexington has been a vital part of our offering for over 15 years.

The partnership with LBS has been built on a foundation of shared values and a deep understanding of the school’s unique needs. Since the start, Lexington’s team has maintained a close relationship with LBS, regularly visiting and engaging with key stakeholders. This has allowed Lexington to fully understand the needs of the school’s 2000+ students and integrate them into its overarching strategy, aligning with the company’s focus on people and culture.

Matt Wood, Managing Director of Lexington, comments: “We are delighted to continue our longstanding partnership with London Business School. Over the last 15 years, we have worked closely with the school to deliver a service that is highly bespoke, meeting the diverse needs of its international community. Our team is committed to supporting LBS through its next phase of growth, delivering innovative food and service solutions that support the school community.”

Mandy Mather, Executive Director of Estates and Campus Services at London Business School, adds, “Our partnership with Lexington has been a vital part of our offering for over 15 years. The team’s ability to deliver a highly responsive service and its innovative approach and engagement with our community, has been instrumental in meeting the needs of our school. This includes their rigorous commitment to sustainability, which supports our carbon management plan and our journey to net zero. We look forward to continuing our collaboration as we work together to enhance the student experience.”

The contract is valued at £29 million over the five-year term. Lexington will continue to provide unique and imaginative retail, hospitality, executive dining and events services, all supported by a dedicated team of more than 80 culinary and service professionals.

In the next phase of the contract, Lexington will support London Business School through its ongoing refurbishment programme, including the introduction of market leading, digital and app-based technology to further improve the food service experience.
