For the tenth year in a row, London has claimed the top spot as the world’s best city. The capital earned this prestigious title in the annual World’s Best Cities rankings, surpassing global powerhouses such as New York, Paris, and Tokyo. The evaluation was based on key criteria including cultural richness, economic opportunities, and overall quality of life.

London has once again been named the world’s best city, securing the top position in the annual World’s Best Cities rankings for the 10th year in a row. The British capital outshone major contenders such as New York, Paris, and Tokyo to maintain its reign.

London has dominated these rankings since their launch, adapting to evolving evaluation criteria each year, according to a report by Xinhua news agency.

The rankings highlight London’s enduring global appeal, showcasing its blend of rich cultural heritage, a strong economic foundation, and an exceptional quality of life. A new dimension was added this year through collaboration with leading pollster Ipsos, incorporating public perception as a major factor. Insights from over 22,000 people across 30 countries were included, offering fresh, perception-driven data to the analysis.

The assessment took into account a diverse set of criteria, such as the quality of both natural and urban environments, cultural richness, dining experiences, nightlife, shopping opportunities, and business infrastructure. Additionally, it evaluated regional airport accessibility and the standard of local universities, factors strongly linked to drawing individuals aged 25 to 44.

Fair recognized the inherent biases in the rankings, stemming from the use of data sourced from platforms such as TripAdvisor, which often reflect a predominantly Western viewpoint.
