London Underground chaos as five lines face suspensions or delays
Some lines are still blocked after a tree fell onto the tracks between Longbridge and Birmingham New Street on Monday.
Trains between Bromsgrove / Redditch and Birmingham New Street may be cancelled or revised, and this disruption is expected to continue until about 2pm.
Services between Hereford and Birmingham New Street will be diverted and won’t call at University, but will stop at Barnt Green.
Rail replacement buses are running between Bromsgrove and Longbridge, and Redditch and Longbridge, in both directions.
National Rail said: ‘We have been advised by Network Rail that the line between Kings Norton and Birmingham New Street will reopen mid-morning.
‘Following this, any stranded trains will need to be recovered and a full line safety inspection will be carried out.’
It’s impacting the following West Midlands Railway services:
- Between Hereford / Great Malvern / Worcester Foregate Street / Bromsgrove / Redditch and Birmingham New Street
- Between Bromsgrove / Longbridge and Lichfield Trent Valley
- Between Redditch and Four Oaks
