The City of London is on track to inject $270 million into infrastructure projects throughout the city as part of its renowned London’s Renew Construction program. With 2024 spending marking yet another milestone in the city’s construction sector, these projects aim to bolster London’s sustainability efforts and fortify infrastructure for future generations.

Projects slated for this year include pivotal transportation initiatives, core sewer separation efforts, multiple phases of rapid transit expansions, enhancements to over 35 intersections, establishment of new bike lanes and sidewalks, and modernization of aging underground infrastructure.

Also, 2024 will see the completion of key projects including the Adelaide Street North Underpass and Victoria Bridge, anticipated to be fully operational by fall.

Every year, London identifies its top ten construction projects based on their substantial benefits, impacts, and scope of work.

This year’s work include construction of all three rapid transit projects, intersection improvements, bridges and underpasses and essential underground infrastructure upgrades, as well as cycling and active transportation improvements.
