Met Office issues weather warnings for heavy rain and flooding
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain, flooding and possible travel disruption across parts of the UK.
The southwest of England, Swansea and Cardiff in Wales, will be hit with heavy rain on Monday and flooding is possible and trains are likely to affected, this weather warning is in place until midnight.
Showers are likely in Scotland and western parts of the UK, however, in London, Manchester and Birmingham there will be sunny and drier weather.
A Met Office forecaster said, “Monday’s rain will spread, with further rain and heavy showers for Tuesday and Wednesday.
“Drier, more settled conditions will probably become established for a time. Above average temperatures are more likely than below, although unsettled conditions are likely to return again.
“A band of rain gradually spreads into southern and western parts of the UK, with some showers across northern Scotland.
“Elsewhere will be largely dry with spells of sunshine. Cooler under the rain but staying warm in the sunshine.
“Tonight, rain will move into the rest of England and also southern and western Scotland. Clear spells ahead of the rain band, with clearer but showery weather following in the southwest.”
