NATO has ‘profound concern’ over China’s ‘large scale support for Russia’s defence’ – London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com
NATO has been warned on Thursday by China to stop “provoking confrontation” over Beijing’s role in helping to Moscow in the Ukraine war.
During the NATO summit being held in Washington DC leaders said that China has “become a decisive enabler of Russia’s war against Ukraine.”
NATO leaders said that Beijing has a “so called ‘no limit’ partnership” who are providing “large scale support for Russia’s defence industrial base” which is of “profound concern.”

A spokesperson for Beijing’s mission to the EU said, “NATO should stop hyping up the so-called China threat and provoking confrontation and rivalry and do more to contribute to world peace and stability.”
“It is known to all that China is not the creator (of) the Ukraine crisis. China’s position on Ukraine is open and aboveboard,” they added.
Since Western leaders issued sanctions on Moscow China has been a lifeline for Russia helping to boost trade therefore helping the Russian economy to fund Vladimir Putin’s war.
Beijing denies they are helping Putin with the war in Ukraine and said they will not allow “criticism of pressure” over their relationship with Russia.
China’s Foreign Ministry accused NATO of “prejudice, smearing and provocation.
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said, “NATO’s rhetoric about China’s responsibility in Ukraine is unjustified and malicious.
We urge NATO to reflect on the root causes of the crisis and its own actions, listen carefully to the just voice of the international community, and take concrete actions to ease the situation, instead of shifting the blame to others.
