NFL London game live chat, open thread: Jets at Vikings
I don’t particularly love the proliferation of international games. While it’s a nice gimmick and undoubtedly a treat to fans across the world, it’s also a pretty big disruption to the NFL season, and it’s costly to the local season ticket holders who lose a home game.
That said, I do love me some 9:30 a.m. ET football. I’m a morning person, and having a little football to pair with my eggs and bacon is the definition of an ideal Sunday morning. Plus, that makes the day essentially an NFL quadruple-header with the 9:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 8:20 p.m. timeslots all filled will football. You can’t beat that.
In Week 5, NFL Sunday kicks off with an important game to Detroit Lions fans. The NFC North-leading and undefeated Minnesota Vikings take on the New York Jets in London.
If you’re wide awake and ready to spend your day watching football, hang out here and provide your game commentary in the comment section below.
BUT DON’T FORGET!!!
Sunday is also the day of our first ever meet-and-greet. At 1 p.m. ET, a bunch of the Pride of Detroit staff—myself included—are heading to Bookie’s Bar and Grille in downtown Detroit to watch the afternoon slate of games. We’d love to see you there. Please RSVP here if you’re interested.
For the rest of y’all, enjoy the morning game. Kickoff is at 9:30 a.m. ET and Jets-Vikings will be televised on NFL Network.
