NFL Schedule Release: Jets play Minnesota Vikings Week 5 in London

The full NFL schedule is set to be released at 8:00 pm Eastern tonight, but the league is announcing some marquee games earlier. Yesterday we found out the Jets are opening in San Francisco against the 49ers on Monday Night Football Week 1.

We now also know the Jets will be playing an international game in 2024. In Week 5 the Jets will head to London to play against the Minnesota VIkings.

This will be the third time the Jets will play in London. In 2015 they defeated the Miami Dolphins. In 2021 they lost to the Atlanta Falcons.

The NFL has seen an increase in its international games in recent seasons. The league is attempting to raise its profile abroad so a three year hiatus from international games is suddenly a long time. It felt likely the Jets would be going overseas this year.

This was slated to be a Vikings home game so turning into a neutral site game feels like a bit of a plus for the Jets.
