Nigel Farage given 87.5% chance of winning Clacton-On-Sea seat – London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com

Statisticians at OLBG have projected that Nigel Farage will finally achieve his lifelong goal and become an MP at next week’s General Election, following reports that Labour’s candidate Jovan Owusu-Nepaul will not be fighting against the Reform leader for the Clacton-on-Sea seat.

As the General Election is just a week away, Nigel Farage may finally be about to fulfil his goal of becoming an MP in the House of Commons.

Having stood in seven elections to become an MP, it could be eighth-time lucky for the Reform UK Leader. The reports of Labour diverting their attention away from Clacton appear to have sealed the deal for Farage, with the former MEP calculated to now have a 87.5% chance of sealing victory on the Essex coast.

Jovan Owusu-Nepaul, 27, at one stage looked to be taking the fight to Farage for Labour, but now has been given just an 11% chance of success in next Thursday’s General Election. The vote on July 4th is projected to be a success on the whole for Labour, however, with Keir Starmer’s party projected to have a 99.5% chance of securing the most seats.

The party, which was led by Richard Tice until Farage arrived late as a candidate, is now projected to become the second largest, with former I’m A Celebrity! contestant Farage being given a 3.4% chance of becoming Prime Minister following the election, with Tory incumbent Rishi Sunak holding just a 2% chance.
