Niners WR Ricky Pearsall shot during attempted robbery in San Francisco

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was shot on Saturday afternoon in an attempted robbery at Union Square, per San Francisco mayor London Breed.

The San Francisco Police Department announced on Saturday that officers at approximately 3:37 p.m. PT spotted two males suffering from injuries.

Both males were rendered aid and medics transported them to a local hospital for further medical evaluation. Following the incident, the suspect is in custody and charges are pending at this time, per police.

San Francisco Police Department was on scene immediately and an arrest of the shooter was made, per Breed.

Pearsall, 23, was drafted 31st overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Pearsall has been dealing with a shoulder injury during the preseason and returned to practice this past week.
