Park Hyatt debuts in London

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Park Hyatt London River Thames, marking the luxury brand’s debut in the UK.

Part of the One Nine Elms mixed-use development, the 203-room hotel occupies the first 18 floors of the 42-storey River Tower in central London and is “a short walk” from Battersea Power Station.

The hotel features several F&B options, including The Nine Elms Kitchen & Terrace, a bar and lounge, and the TAMISé Tea Lounge & Wine Library, which hosts afternoon tea alongside a wine cellar and tasting room. A Cantonese restaurant is also expected to open by the end of the year.

As well as a fitness centre and spa, the hotel is home to more than 1,300 sqm of meeting space, including a ballroom that can host up to 830 guests. An additional seven meeting rooms can also be opened to form a large space for events that connects to an adjoining foyer.

“The opening of Park Hyatt London River Thames is a testament to our continued commitment to expanding our luxury brand offering across Europe, Africa and the Middle East,” said Javier Águila, group president, Europe, Africa and Middle East at Hyatt.

“Sustaining this momentum is key to our goal of hotels accommodating guests who are looking for the ultimate indulgence. With Park Hyatt London River Thames’ exceptional views, sophisticated design, memorable meeting spaces and second-to-none culinary experiences, we are confident that this hotel will exceed expectations.”

The group has a growing number of hotels in London and across Europe. There are currently 46 Park Hyatt hotels globally, including in European destinations such as Istanbul, Milan, Paris, Vienna and Zurich.
