Patriots list Rhamondre Stevenson as questionable for Sunday vs. Jaguars
LONDON — After missing both practice sessions in Foxboro this week, Rhamondre Stevenson was back on the practice field for the Patriots in London on Friday and has a chance at playing in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.
Stevenson was a full participant in Friday’s practice at the Harrow School Sports Centre in London, and was moving well when reporters were permitted to watch the session.
“I’m feeling like I should be ready on Sunday,” Stevenson said after his first practice in two weeks.
Stevenson missed last week’s loss to the Texans and had missed five straight practices after suffering a foot injury late in the team’s Week 5 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He is officially listed as questionable on the team’s Week 7 injury report.
While Stevenson struggled with some fumbling issues over the first four weeks of the season, he was greatly missed in last week’s loss when the Patriots mustered just 82 yards on the ground against Houston. Antonio Gibson had just 19 yards on 13 carries, while JaMycal Hasty added 12 yards on his three rush attempts. Quarterback Drake Maye — in his first career start — was the team’s leading rusher with 38 yards on five scrambles.
Maye made some headlines this week when he was popped up on the team’s Wednesday practice report with a knee injury. But Maye was a full participant for the third straight day on Friday, and didn’t have a game status designation on the team’s injury report.
“Feeling good,” Maye told reporters on Friday morning. “These last two days felt good out there at practice. Feeling good now and ready to go on Sunday.”
In all, seven Patriots are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars:
WR Javon Baker (illness)
LB Curtis Jacobs (knee)
CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder)
G Michael Jordan (ankle)
RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot)
LB Sione Takitaki (knee)
CB Marco Wilson (groin)
Baker is the only player that didn’t participate in Friday’s practice. Left tackle Vederian Lowe remains the only player ruled out for Sunday’s contest as he deals with an ankle injury.
