Plant Based World Expo Europe to open at ExCeL London in November – Catering Today
Plant Based World Expo Europe has revealed it will be opening at ExCeL London between 13 and 14 November 2024 to display a full breadth of innovation and trends in the plant-based sector.
This two-day event for the F&B industry will feature an international exhibition with over 100 exhibitors and three theatres of educational content, led by industry experts.
Companies exhibiting at the event will feature their latest products and industry-first, and will include Beanstalk Foods (Stand H28); Cuíca (Stand C12); Dreamfarm (Stand E24); JASPAT (Stand L11); Jay & Joy (Stand G12); Konscious Foods (Stand E40); PLATATINE (Stand E36); and Väcka (Stand F18a).
Beanstalk Foods hails from Madrid, Spain, and focuses on plant-based salami and seafood alternatives. Although new to Europe, it is making waves with innovative products like ambient salami and seafood rings. Its goal is to redefine traditional food choices with sustainable, plant-based alternatives.
Cuíca is a food tech company based in São Paulo, Brazil, and will be presenting its innovative Brazil Nut Milk at the show. As a company focused on developing healthy and sustainable food products, Cuíca’s first-time appearance at the Plant-Based World highlights its commitment to eco-friendly solutions. Cuíca will also share its unique story, rooted in a business model that promotes environmental and social impact.
Based in Parma, Italy, Dreamfarm specialises in Nutri-Score A plant-based cheeses. At the trade show, it will be launching a new plant-based ricotta. Known for its commitment to healthy and sustainable dairy alternatives, Dreamfarm continues to innovate in the plant-based cheese sector.
Singapore-based JASPAT offers plant-based alternatives to egg products, with key offerings including its “EggNot” Plant-Based Vegan Egg Powder. This innovative powder is an alternative to traditional eggs, targeting those looking for a vegan-friendly substitute without compromising on texture or flavour.
Since 2015, Paris-based Jay & Joy has pioneered plant-based cheese production in France. It is known for artisan and organic products, and at the show, Jay & Joy will be exhibiting a new feta alternative.
Konscious Foods is a well-known brand in North America, and is on a mission to bring delectable and sustainable plant-based seafood alternatives to the masses. It will be introducing its new Plant-Based Classic Smoked Salmon at the event, aiming to provide a sustainable option that mirrors the taste and texture of traditional smoked salmon.
Italy-based PLATATINE offers three product families: a superior chips line made with natural ingredients like plantain, manioc, and sweet potato; an innovative healthy line with unique flours and pasta made from these ingredients; and a Nature line, which showcases fresh raw materials. At the show, it will launch “Mnemosine,” the world’s first 100% plantain flour pasta, certified gluten-free and made without binders or additives.
Väcka is a Spanish start-up that designs plant-based cheese alternatives, using a mix of traditional cheese-making techniques and modern technology. These products, made from melon seeds and olive oil, are aimed at providing healthier and sustainable cheese options. At the show, it will be debuting a new product, 100% plant-based “Mozza di Bufala,” as part of its Veggie Pizza Warriors campaign, launching on World Ecology Day.
