Real Madrid’s team coach has been involved in a crash on the M40 following the team’s loss to Liverpool yesterday.
Pictures from the scene shows the coach on the motorway and traffic is currently stopped between junction 16 and 15 southbound.
No staff or players were onboard during the crash and it is believed the coach was carrying the team’s kit.
Elsewhere, part of the London Underground network is suspended after leaf fall caused by recent stormy weather.
People travelling between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane on the Piccadilly line will have to find alternative ways to travel because the line remains suspended between the stations due to ‘significant leaf fall.’
There are further delays on the whole of the Piccadilly line because of a signal failure at King’s Cross St Pancras.
There are waiting times of 80 minutes on the M5 right now because of a crash involving a heavy goods vehicle.
The traffic is stopped on the M5 in Worcestershire northbound within junction 5 for Droitwich.
Traffic is currently being diverted via the entry and exit slip roads.
Severe delays on the District line
There are currently severe delays between Turnham Green and Richmond due to a signalling problem at Gunnersbury.
It will cause misery for commuters look to get home just before rush hour.
There is currently a good service on the rest of the line.
Vehicle fire on M1 brings traffic to a standstill
A vehicle fire is causing traffic on the M1 northbound between junction 13 for Brogborough and junction 14 for Broughton.
Emergency services are currently on the scene and there are three-mile queues on approach.
This is causing 30-minute delays above normal journey times this afternoon.
Disruption on SWR due to police incident
The police are dealing with an incident near the railway between Woking and Surbiton.
This means lines are currently blocked from Woking towards London Waterloo.
This is impacting services between Weymouth/Southampton Central/ Exeter St Davids/Portsmouth Harbour/Portsmouth & Southsea/Yeovil Junction/Salisbury/Westbury/Haslemere/Basingstoke/Woking/Alton and London Waterloo.
As a result, trains between these stations may be cancelled and delayed by up to 15 minutes or run non-stop between Weybridge and Surbiton.
Disruption is expected until 4pm.
Trespass on railway in Wimbledon
Trains are running at a reduced speed on all lines at Wimbledon because of a trespass on the railway.
South Western Railway posted on X: ‘Trespass on the railway at Wimbledon, trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines.
‘Trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised because of this problem.
‘At this time, we estimate that disruption to our services will end at 5pm.
‘Trains running at reduced speed on all lines and your journey is likely to take longer.
‘We will let you know if this changes or when we have more information.’

Traffic on M25 after car breaks down
Drivers on the M25 are facing delays this afternoon after a vehicle broke down.
It is impacting drivers anti-clockwise between junction 30 for Romford and junction 29 for Basildon.
There are two of four lanes closed and normal traffic conditions are not expected until 3pm.
Road in south London closed because of ‘unstable’ building
A major road in south London is closed because of an unsafe building.
The building on Manor Road in Wallington was deemed dangerous after damage sustained during Storm Bert.
A Sutton Council spokesperson said: ‘Unfortunately, the road closure will need to remain in place until works to make the site safe are completed by the owner.
‘Traffic diversions are in place and we are providing additional signage for drivers.
‘The Council is doing all it can to make sure the building’s owner secures the site as soon as possible and the closure can be lifted. In the meantime, please avoid the area if you can.’
Independent review will examine TfL cyber attack
An investigation will be held into the cyber attack that hit TfL earlier this year.
It severely impacted the service and TfL only recently opened up applications for new Oyster photocards again.
The applications were suspended while security checks were undertaken to ‘reduce the risk of further attacks’.
The papers published state: ‘Given the nature and scale of the cyber incident, an independent review will be conducted to consider the circumstances surrounding the incident and the impact, our response to the incident, and whether further improvements are needed to our cyber security strategy, taking into consideration existing initiatives that are in progress.
‘As the cyber incident is ongoing and the subject of a criminal investigation by the NCA [National Crime Agency], the review may be undertaken in phases. The review will be overseen by members of our Board.’
Crash causes delays on part of the M6
A crash on the M6 is causing delays for drivers as we head into this afternoon.
There are currently two of three lanes closed between junction 5 for Birmingham East and junction 4A for Sutton Coldfield because of an accident.
Disruption is expected until at least 2.30pm this afternoon.
Serious crash closes major road in Derbyshire
For drivers using the A50 in Derbyshire this afternoon, the road is closed eastbound between the A38 junction and the A6 junction for Derbyshire.
This is due to a serious crash.
The closure is eight miles long and National Highways has thanked drivers while they deal with the incident.
Disruption to South Western Railway expected until 8pm
There is currently disruption on South Western Railway between Motspur Park and Chessington South which is expected to last until 8pm this evening now.
This is impacting routes between London Waterloo and Chessington South because of a points failure.
As a result, trains are unable to run between these stations and will instead start and terminate at Hampton Court.
Until further notice the following alterations are in force which include:
London Waterloo – Chessington South services will be diverted to and from Hampton Court, additionally calling New Malden and Surbiton in both directions.
To assist with journeys people’s tickets will be accepted, at no extra cost, on the following services:
London Buses on all routes between Raynes Park – Motspur Park – Chessington South – Surbiton – Epsom – Dorking – Effingham Junction via any reasonable route
Southern via any reasonable route until further notice
Replacement buses have been requested to run between Motspur Park to Surbiton via Chessington South.
Chaos on the Piccadilly line with signal failure at King’s Cross
A signal failure at King’s Cross St Pancras is causing severe delays for Londoners across the entire Piccadilly line.
TfL has said that London Underground tickets will be accepted on London buses, Elizabeth line, Great Northern and London Overground.
On another part of the line there is no service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to poor rail conditions caused by significant leaf fall.
Train disruption between Bournemouth and Weymouth
A fault on a train at Hamworthy is blocking the line towards Weymouth.
Trains running through Hamworthy may be delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised.
Disruption is expected until 12pm.
Heavy traffic on M6 after vehicle fire
A vehicle fire is causing traffic chaos on the M6 this morning.
There are two of four lanes closed on the motorway northbound between junction 13 for Stafford south and junction 14 for Stafford north.
It is not expected to be cleared until 11.45am and even after then delays are still expected in the area.
Severe delays on major route near Southend
Drivers are facing severe delays on the A127 in Southend this morning.
It is impacting the road westbound between A1158 Prince Avenue and St. Michaels Road, with journey times extended by approximately 13 minutes.
What’s worse is the average speed for drivers on the road is only 5mph and it is not known what is causing the slow traffic.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
Delays hit the Elizabeth line
For those of you using the Elizabeth line this morning, there are currently minor delays on a part of the line.
It is impacting services between Paddington and Heathrow Terminals/Reading due to an earlier signalling problem at Ealing Broadway.
There is a good service on the rest of the line.

There is currently disruption on South Western Railway between Motspur Park and Chessington South which is expected until 11.30am.
This is impacting routes between London Waterloo and Chessington South because of a points failure.

Traffic stopped on M5 after vehicle fire
A vehicle fire on the M5 in Gloucestershire means traffic was stopped for a while.
It is impacting traffic on the southbound carriageway between junction 7 for Worcester and junction 8 for the M50.
While lanes have opened again, there is still heavy traffic with traffic service Inrix saying: ‘Very slow traffic due to earlier vehicle fire on M5 Southbound from J7 A44 (Worcester / Evesham) to J8 M50. All lanes have been reopened.’
‘Shortage of staff’ leads to disruption on Thameslink services
To add to people’s woes this morning, there is disruption on some Thameslink services this morning because of a shortage of staff.
It is impacting services running through London Blackfriars because of the shortage of staff at Cricklewood depot, Thameslink confirmed.
It means that some trains have not left the depot to transport people across the capital this morning.
There are fewer train running between St Albans and Sutton, and also between Luton and Orpington as a result.
