These Ganni Flats Were Everywhere At London Fashion Week

There’s nothing quite like fashion month to focus the mind on the season to come. While the collections on the runways continue to set the style agenda as always, we’ve seen street style become almost equally important when it comes to identifying trending silhouettes and colourways, as well as cult buys. Indeed, at London Fashion Week this season, there was a particular pair of ballet flats from Ganni that team Vogue saw everywhere at the shows. The twist? This shoe is not new.

This pointed, buckled flat has become something of a cult buy for the Scandi brand, which was first released in August 2023, and now comes in 10 different prints and colourways – from snake print and burgundy to classic black and blush pink. Recently restocked online, the scene at the London shows suggests it has captured the imagination of the fashion crowd all over again.

Perhaps it’s because we’re all obsessed with the casual comfort of flat shoes right now (loafers and ballet flats are fast overtaking towering stilettos), or maybe it’s because it’s a shoe that, quite simply, goes with everything you own. We saw one attendee who styled her burgundy flat with cargo trousers and a slouchy shirt, and another whose patent black pair contrasted perfectly with her bold red tights. Now that’s a versatile shoe.
