This new London museum is officially one of Time Out’s best things to do in the world in 2025
It was a big day at Time Out yesterday (December 11). Not only did we reveal our list of the best new things to do in the UK next year, but we also dropped our global ranking of the top things you have to see around the world in 2025. Among once-in-a-lifetime events like the Vatican’s Jubilee, intrepid expeditions like paddling down Australia’s longest river, and travelling to never-before-reached places via flight, one new London attraction made the list. It’s safe to say it’s in good company.
The brand-new V&A East has been named as one of the best attractions in the world for 2025. Opening from May 2025, the Victoria and Albert Museum is bringing not one, but two, new galleries to London next year. The V&A East Storehouse is going to be a huge warehouse with more than than half a million artefacts spanning every creative disciplines. Plus, it will be home to the David Bowie Centre, a jaw-dropping archive dedicated to the late singer, housing more than 80,000 items spanning six decades of his life.
But perhaps the most exciting thing: the new storehouse will also have a world-first ‘Order an Object’ experience, where anyone can book to see any object they like, seven-days a week. The V&A East Museum will open later (date still unconfirmed) with an exhibition all about Black British music.
