Treehouse lodges open in Cotswolds countryside 90 minutes from London
An incredible new treehouse experience has officially opened its doors to guests in the heart of the Oxfordshire, close to Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm and other Cotswolds attractions.
Nestled within 1,700 acres of ancient woodland in Cornbury Park and close to the picturesque village of Charlbury, TreeDwellers features seven architecturally distinct treehouses designed to provide an immersive nature escape.
The much-anticipated opening has already captured the attention of travellers with a penchant for the finer things, looking for a natural retreat in a trendy Cotswolds location.
The treehouses are elevated three meters above the forest floor and have been carefully curated to blend in seamlessly with their natural surroundings.
Enclosed in timber, copper, and glass, they reflect the organic shapes and curves of the woodland, offering guests a really special experience.
Each self-catering retreat features either one or two king-sized bedrooms, spacious living areas with wood-burning stoves, and fully equipped kitchens.
The modern yet cosy interiors come equipped with Sonos surround sound systems and in-treehouse tablets, and there are also generous freestanding bathtubs overlooking the countryside.
TreeDwellers welcomed it’s first guests this week and is now taking bookings for the future.
As the brainchild of Tim Rees, a visionary in alternative accommodation, the sanctuary has been designed to offer a dedicated space where guests can unwind.
“I’m over the moon to finally welcome guests to TreeDwellers,” said Rees. “This project has been a labour of love, and I’m confident that the forest will provide the perfect sanctuary for our guests to relax, restore, and feel inspired.”
One of the most exciting features of the new retreat is the UK’s first nine-metre, twin-coned Forest Megaphone, a wooden structure that amplifies the natural sounds of the forest.
This unique auditory experience, coupled with the serene surroundings, aims to offer visitors a deeper connection to the natural world.
For those looking to further enhance their stay, TreeDwellers offers a yoga platform and pagoda, perfect for wellness sessions or intimate woodland weddings.
In addition to the tranquil setting, guests are treated to a range of local delights upon arrival, including a hamper with regional cheese, Missing Bean coffee, Canton Tea, and sommelier-selected wine.
The retreat is also conveniently located near other popular Cotswolds destinations such as Chipping Norton, Soho Farmhouse, Diddly Squat Farm Shop and Daylesford Farm Shop.
There is also a concierge team on hand to arrange private yoga sessions, in-room wellness treatments and dining sumptuous experiences.
