Ukraine attacks Crimea and sinks a $300 million Russian attack submarine ‘on the spot’ – London Business News | Londonlovesbusiness.com
A Russian submarine has been sunk “to the bottom of the Black Sea” in Crimea Kyiv’s Defence Ministry has confirmed.
Ukrainian military said that the year old B-237 Rostov-on-Don attack submarine was sunk “on the spot” in the Russian-controlled Port of Sevastopol on Saturday in a drone attack.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) said on Telegram, “As a result of the strike, the submarine sank on the spot.”
“The destruction of the Rostov-na-Donu submarine once again proves that there is no safe place for the Russian Navy in the Ukrainian territorial waters of the Black Sea,” the General Staff said.

NATO classifies that B-237 Rostov-on-Don as one of four Kilo Class submarines which is capable of firing Kalibr cruise missiles.
Ukraine launched a massive missile attack and struck a Russian military airfield in Crimea in long-range attacks.
The Ukrainian military general staff said that they attacked Russia’s Saky airfield in Crimea and they are currently assessing the damage.
A military spokesperson said, “This is one of the operational airfields that Russia uses to control the airspace, in particular the Black Sea, and for launching airstrikes on Ukrainian territory.
Ukraine also took out four launchers of the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft systems which were significantly damaged.
Russia’s Defence Ministry said that 75 Ukrainian drones were “intercepted and destroyed” and that 36 drones were destroyed over Rostov.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, “These actions are most effective when the consequences of Russia’s war are brought back home to Russia and when there is no safe place for the enemy on the occupied territory of our state.
“I thank each and every warrior involved.”
