According to Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma, the former India captain is making plans to leave India soon with his wife and kids and settle in London.

Star Indian batter and former captain Virat Kohli is planning to leave India and will settle with his family in London. According to the legendary cricketer’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma, Virat, with his actor wife Anushka Sharma and two children—Vamika (born January 2021) and Akaay (born February 2024)—is planning to shift to London and will soon leave India to settle in the European city.

“Virat apne baccho aur patni Anushka Sharma ke sath London mein shift hone ki yojna bana rahe hain. Vo bahut jald hi Bharat chor kar waha basne wale hai (Virat with his children and wife Anushka Sharma is making plans to shift to London. He will leave India soon and settle there),” Rajkumar said in an interview with Dainik Jagran, which was published on Thursday.

Kohli, who was born and brought up in Delhi, moved to Mumbai a few years ago. He tied the knot with Anushka in December 2017 in Italy and welcomed the birth of his first child in January 2021. Kohli missed the five-match Test series against England earlier this year due to the birth of his second child, who was born on February 15, 2024, in London.

During the interview, Rajkumar was also asked about Kohli’s form and his retirement plans, to which he said that Kohli’s form is not a matter of concern and he is going to score two more centuries for India in the next two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

“Virat is playing the best cricket of his career. He scored a century in the first Test against Australia. I believe in the upcoming two Tests, he is going to score two more centuries. He has always enjoyed his cricket. His form is not a matter of concern. He knows how to perform in difficult situations and help his side win the match.”

“Virat is still very fit, and he is not old enough to take retirement. I think he will play for five more years. He will definitely play for India in the 2027 ODI World Cup. I have known him for the last 26 years, and that’s why I can say that there’s still so much cricket left in him,” Sharma added.
