Witnesses sought in Southwark Tube station murder inquiry
A man and a woman seen in a Tube station in central London at the time a man was killed could be key witnesses, police say.
British Transport Police said the pair “may have critical information which could assist the ongoing investigation” into the attack on Sam Winter at 21:30 BST on 22 August outside Southwark Tube station.
They asked for the pair, or anyone who recognised them, to get in touch, but stressed neither was suspected of criminal activity.
Mr Winter, 28, died in hospital two days after the attack and his family said they were “devastated” by the loss of a “very much-loved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend”.
