Woman found bleeding and unresponsive in New London

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — A woman is in critical condition after she was found bleeding and unresponsive in a New London parking lot Friday night, said police. 

Last night at 10:47, first responders arrived at a parking lot on 48 Ocean Ave. after reports were made of an injured female. Police say they found the woman bleeding and unresponsive and began to conduct medical aid.  

The woman was initially taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for life-threatening injuries, but due to needing further treatment, she was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

Officials have not released information on how the woman was injured, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.

On Monday, police said the woman remained in critical condition.
