WTM London 2024 to spotlight frictionless travel in tech sessions – EN
RX Global’s World Travel Market London 2024 is set to highlight solutions to common travel frustrations in this year’s Technology Track sessions, focusing on how the industry can streamline the search, booking and payment processes for travellers.
Running from 5-7 November at ExCeL London, the Technology Summit will kick off the event with a series of discussions led by industry experts.
Organised by WTM’s new technology advisor, Timothy O’Neil-Dunne of T2Impact, the summit will feature a fireside chat with Alfonso Paredes, president of Expedia Group’s Private Label Solutions. Paredes will discuss the importance of enhancing the digital experience for customers and the future role of AI in loyalty programs. The day will also include quick-fire sessions on regional and vertical customer experience dynamics, culminating in a panel debate on the industry’s engagement with travelers.
O’Neil-Dunne said: “I’m delighted that WTM London has given me the opportunity to try something different, and we’ve decided to tackle head-on one of my industry bug-bears: despite all this tech, why do sellers and suppliers make it so difficult for the traveller to find what they want, to buy our products and to experience what we offer.
“I will be addressing the ‘apocalyptic inefficiency’, as I see it, across the industry and explore the tech we need to tackle this. I’m assembling panellists and speakers from established and emerging travel companies, not all of whom will agree with me, or each other. It’s shaping up to be interesting, interactive and informative.”
